Greek Mythology Studies

Greek Mythology helps kids learn about essential life values, such as family, friendship, and more. It also teaches us about love, solidarity, help, and the meaning of giving. People, heroes, gods, demigods, legends, and even monsters star in the myths of the ancient Greeks. Here are some resources my children Enjoyed this year:

Illustrated Stories from the Greek Myths

Heroes and heroines battle with terrifying monsters, mighty armies, and scheming gods in this thrilling collection of famous myths from Ancient Greece, including: "The Horse," "The Minotaur," "Bellerophon and Pegasus," "The Twelve Tasks of Heracles," "Perseus and the Gorgon," "The Odyssey," and more myths and a guide to the gods.

Z is for Zeus: a Greek mythology alphabet

An A to Z introduction to Greek mythology, including heroes, gods and goddesses, the Iliad, Dephi, and Labyrinth. Each topic is introduced with a poem and includes a detailed-filled expository text.

Greeking Out

My kids LOVE this kid-friendly retelling of classic ancient Greek myths! This podcast recalls some of the greatest stories ever told. Stories of gods and goddesses, monsters, and heroes! We have devoured all 42 episodes a few times.
