​We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Language Arts Teacher who specializes in working with Gifted, Dyslexic, and/or Dysgraphic students using interest and strength-based learning techniques. As our teacher, you will be responsible for teaching two children ages 10 and 6 (1:1), providing them with the fundamental skills needed to succeed in English Language Arts.

The ideal candidate will have training or experience in Linda Moodbell, Handwriting without Tears, or Orton Gillingham and can create tailored lesson plans incorporating these methods. You should be able to identify each student's unique strengths and weaknesses and adapt your teaching style accordingly.
Position: English Language Arts Teacher for Gifted, Dyslexic, and Dysgraphic Students

Schedule: Tuesday: 10 am -12 pm; Thursday: 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Ages: 10 & 6
Location: 1750 W Broadway St, Oviedo, FL 32765
Dates: December 7, 2023 - May 10, 2024

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to each student's needs.

Use interest and strength-based learning techniques to engage students in the learning process.

Work with students to develop fundamental English Language Arts skills, including reading, writing, spelling, and grammar.

Monitor progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

Collaborate with parents, SLPs, and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Education, English, or a related field
Teaching certification or licensure

Experience working with dyslexic and dysgraphic students
Training or experience in Linda Moodbell, Handwriting without Tears, or Orton Gillingham

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
